About, Hiva Kolodrubetz
Hi everyone! My name is Hiva and I’ve been in the field of nursing for over 12 years, 9 of which have been as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I’ve worked in both primary care and specialty settings. I started my career as a pediatric RN in community health and transitioned into Internal Medicine with Stanford Healthcare as an NP. I then specialized in Cardiology, running the structural heart valve clinic for Medical City Heart and Spine Hospital in the DFW metroplex. Since then, I’ve worked in Rheumatology, Endocrinology, and Urgent Care. I’ve tried it all! And I’m here to tell you that you can too!! The field of nursing is full of amazing opportunities and I’m here to help you feel strong and confident in your skills as you enter this new chapter. I enjoy teaching and mentoring students and new grads to find their passion and build a career they can be proud of. So, if you’re looking for a mentor and an advocate, I’m your gal!

As part of a 2 year paid student NP membership package offered at Fitzgerald, I took an intro EKG course offered through that membership but the format was challenging regarding not being able to see the lines in the EKG strips which made such intro EKG review course difficult whereas Hiva’s EKG course was not only better due to seeing actual red EKG lines but honestly she broke the basics down that one needs to know for the NP (family/adult gero) certification exam better than Fitzgerald’s intro EKG review course although the Fitzgerald one was not just for those taking the NP (family/adult gero) certification exam but for NP’s already practicing post certification. Personally I would KISS-Keep it Super Simple-by taking the EKG course by Hiva as preparation for your NP (fnp/adult gero)certification exam! 🤩🥳
