LaVertta is a nurse practitioner board certified in both Adult Gerontology Acute Care and Family Practice by the American Nurse Credentialing Center with 16 years of nursing experience in a wide variety of settings. She began her career as a nurse in 2008 with experience in medical-surgical nursing, operating room, and pain management. She transitioned to the Nurse Practitioner role in 2015 with a focus in family practice and urgent care. In 2021, she moved to the acute care setting as a hospitalist and critical care Nurse Practitioner managing life-threatening emergencies and critical illness. She also has one year of experience in the ENT specialty. LaVertta desires dignity and compassion to guide her practice, and she strives to provide excellent and comprehensive care to all patients she encounters. She is passionate about sharing her expertise with nurse practitioner students and those who are new to practice. She resides in Southwest Florida and is mother to 3 beautiful daughters and significant other. She enjoys going to the beach, camping, hiking, gardening, and traveling in her free time.
